I accidentally fell into the recruitment industry and have never looked back! I run our busy temporary/contract placement division and have been manager of Asset Recruitment since 1998. As an accredited recruitment consultant I am an expert at identifying top candidates with marketable skills. I love nothing better than matching candidates and clients. After 28 years with Asset I have extensive knowledge of the market. The greatest measure of my success is the high number of temporary candidates who gain permanent employment through their temping assignments. I enjoy the challenges of the recruitment industry and thrive on keeping Asset ahead of its competitors. While the competition in the recruitment market has grown over recent years I take pride in the continued reputation of the company. I firmly believe the success of Asset is the result of a team effort. No one person can take the credit.

I have enjoyed a career at Asset Recruitment spanning more than 20 years. During this time I’ve experienced many changes including market demands, candidate expectations, recruitment trends and sourcing techniques. While I can work across all facets of our business, nowadays I recruit mostly at a senior level. Whether it’s a Chief Executive or Chief Financial Officer position, or maybe a senior technical role, I provide a seamless, professional service to our clients. Building long-term relationships with many of Hamilton’s leading organisations has been a career highlight for me, and with many of those clients I feel like part of their team! Over the years, I’ve built up a real understanding of the recruitment market, particularly here in the Waikato. I joined Asset Recruitment in September 2010, when Asset purchased I.S. Young Recruitment Ltd. It is testament to the solid relationships that support has continued for former I.S. Young clients. I specialise in permanent recruitment across a range of industries. With more than 23 years recruitment experience I pride myself on being a ‘generalist’ who successfully works on positions from entry through to senior level. A key strength of mine is identifying potential candidates and actively marketing them to new and existing clients. Over the years I have enjoyed getting to know my clients and understanding their businesses. I have a genuine passion for partnering with both my clients and candidates to provide a service that goes above and beyond what has become expected in the industry. Prior to working in recruitment I worked both overseas and locally within various industries including government, finance, telecommunications, hospitality and motor vehicle.

Recently returning to NZ after 12 years living in the Middle East, Amy’s career to date has been focused on delivering large scale events. Whilst employed by Emirates Group, she was responsible for the execution of world class events such as the Dubai Rugby Sevens, Expo2020 and F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. From client management to operational excellence her key focus has always been offering a premium and high-end experience for her clients.

My role at Asset Recruitment is focused on industrial recruitment, specialising in the recruitment of suitable candidates for placement in temporary roles across a range of industries including manufacturing, dairy and food distribution.
I’ve always enjoyed building strong and effective working relationships. Working closely with our clients, I like to take the time to really understand how their business operates, the workplace culture, and any particular procedures relating to their industry. This ensures the recruitment process is as streamlined as possible, and that I match candidates that are the right fit to help drive their business’s productivity.
Throughout my career I’ve been privileged to work in all facets of business. Including overseeing all operations of restaurant businesses and guiding them to optimum performance, and more recently as the HR and Development Manager for a franchise of seven mainstream food restaurants across the North Island.
I’m very results driven and highly motivated. Over the years I’ve built solid knowledge around staffing and management principles, leadership and coaching practices, recruitment, human resources and employee safety and wellbeing.

I joined the team at Asset Recruitment Ltd in March 2010. My role includes managing our busy reception desk, administration, secretarial duties and processing the payroll for our temporary employees. Sitting behind reception, I’m the first face many of our clients come across and always ensure they get a warm Asset welcome. I was previously employed for 12 years as a sales and service representative for a magazine publisher where I was kept challenged with a variety of tasks. I enjoy working at Asset Recruitment where our philosophy is to deliver excellence and provide a level of customer service that is second to none!

My role at Asset Recruitment is a varied one. I’m responsible for managing our large database, facilitating health and safety and the ACC requirements for our job seekers and clients, and providing administrative support to our busy consultants. I bring to the job almost a decade of administrative and customer service experience within New Zealand and overseas, and pride myself on providing quality work whilst building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
