Assistant Accountant

  • 6–12-month contract
  • Immediate start

Supporting our client with transactional accounting and financial reporting the Assistant Accountant will bring at least 2 years New Zealand experience to this position.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Reconciliations
  • Accounts to trial balance
  • Statutory Returns
  • The annual budget
  • The service costing process

We are looking for a tertiary qualified accountant who is a current member of the Chartered Accountants Association (CAANZ) or equivalent.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A good understanding of accounting applications and financial systems
  • Excellent IT skills with advanced-intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to details
  • The ability to prioritise and meet set deadlines
