When Bruntons Property Solutions Ltd/Colliers International Director, Christine Brunton needs a new staff member, she doesn’t go past locally owned and operated Waikato recruitment company, Asset Recruitment.

“We have had a very long involvement with Asset Recruitment,” says Director, Christine Brunton. “Asset understands our business totally.

“We know whoever the Asset Recruitment team sends to us for a role will be well suited for the job. But more than that, they will fit in with our team and our company culture. In some instances, there may only be one candidate for the role, but that person will work,” Christine says.

Bruntons Property Solutions Ltd, part of global real estate company, Colliers International, reaches out to Asset Recruitment for both temporary and permanent roles. “Sometimes Carmel [Strange, Asset Recruitment’s Manager and temporary recruitment specialist] doesn’t get much notice from us,” admits Christine.

Not that this matters. Carmel’s in-depth understanding of Bruntons/Colliers work and staff requirements mean a quality temporary candidate is never far away. It’s another aspect of Asset Recruitment’s services that Christine finds so valuable.

“Asset Recruitment knows and understands Waikato and has an understanding of our company,” says Christine. “I have been approached by other recruitment firms from Auckland but we’re extremely happy with the service Asset provides.”

A thorough process

Another aspect of Asset Recruitment’s service that Christine appreciates is the advertising, screening and shortlisting of candidates for permanent jobs. “I only ever have 15mins max to interview a candidate; the Asset team will ask the curly questions for me. We have hired a few people who have come directly to us via our website, but I do have to admit the process is more thorough when Asset is at the helm.”
