Business Development Manager

Based in Waikato, our client operates successful contracting and fencing businesses.  With a team of approximately 30 and a variety of trucks, diggers, tractors and attachments they service both the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.  Due to significant growth and current opportunities, this newly created Waikato or Bay of Plenty based position will report to the business owners, and undertake a variety of tasks including:



  • Account management of existing clients

  • Developing new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with councils and the agricultural sector
  • Establishing pathways in to new sectors
  • Working with the owners on additional business acquisitions
  • Further developing the utilisation of equipment and machinery

The successful applicant will offer a strong background in either the agricultural or transport sector.  Your ability to build successful, long term relationships will be proven, as will the way you maximise industry opportunities.  Communication will be one of your strongest attributes, and equally as important will be your ability to work effectively with people from all walks of life, from farmers to council executives.
