Export Administrator

35 hours per week

Our client is one of the largest privately owned fishing companies in New Zealand and are exporters of pure, sustainable NZ seafood. They pride themselves on a history of innovation, flexibility, and providing high quality products.

This is a great opportunity to join this professional team as their Export Administrator. You will be facilitating, preparing, and dispatching all documentation relating to the sale and export of fish and seafood products.

Based in Te Rapa, Hamilton you will be responsible for document preparation for both export and local orders.  You will be liaising with international clients, Ministry for Primary Industries, shipping companies, and couriers.  Your role will also involve checking supplier and shipping invoices, preparing stock reconciliations, and assisting with claims.

Export orders require a high level of documentation to ensure product traceability and smooth clearance of goods in the destination country.  The role requires excellent attention to detail and a methodical work process to ensure documents are correct, and completed in a timely manner.

Although not essential, the client would prefer a level of experience within the export field.  Most important is the ability to be precise and accurate.  Excellent customer service skills are also necessary, as you will be liaising with customers on every aspect of documentation for their orders.  You will be reconciling accounts with shipping companies, so a good head for figures is preferred.

This is a great role for the right person.  Experience in shipping and exports is preferred however, applicants with an aptitude for accuracy, care and attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, will be considered.  A sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.  This family owned company is an exceptional employer who really look after their staff and value their input.
