12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Waikato Regional Council require the services of a Property and Facilities Manager who will be responsible for leading the Property and Facilities Management section during a time of organisational change. The fixed term nature of the role reflects the Council’s anticipated move into the CBD at the end of the year.
Property management experience would be ideal, but we would also consider a good generalist with an interest in property, together with strong people, project and contract management skills. In addition to the new building in the CBD, there are two projects underway for new accommodation in Taupo and Horotiu.
Key responsibilities will include managing and overseeing the decommissioning of the Hamilton East leases, the Taupo Office and Lower Waikato operations depot fit out and staff relocation. This role will also be responsible for managing the operational and capital works programmes and their associated budgets for these projects and business as usual activities.
General knowledge of valuation, acquisition and legal aspects of property and experience in local government at a senior level will see you succeed in this role.
