The Marketing/Buyers Assistant will assist the buying team to coordinate purchasing and marketing initiatives and assist the buying team with the implementation of the company’s marketing and sales plans.
Initially the role will be responsible for processing daily customer orders, assisting with quarterly stock forecasts, promotions and marketing initiatives. You will be briefing all store managers and key personnel on upcoming price changes and supplier promotions, tracking all competitor activity and analysing data and all other media to make relevant market decisions and other activity associated with the marketing department.
Within 3 – 6 months there will be an opportunity for progression into a Buyers Role where you will be responsible for a category, increasing your portfolio of buying products and working with the buying team. You will be maintaining core stock lists for categories and assisting with online merchandising and loading product and promotions information.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person – ideally we are looking for a person who comes with retail buying experience and also the ability to interpret the market and competitor information and make sound profitable decisions.
