Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator
Hospice Waikato provides Specialist Community Palliative Care to people living with a life limiting condition in the Waikato community.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the marketing team in the development and implementation of marketing and fundraising initiatives which support Hospice Waikato’s Marketing and Fundraising strategy.
This role focusses on the use and development of social media, website and written communications to assist the department to achieve its objectives. It is also key in promoting and upholding the brand integrity of Hospice Waikato and ensuring it continues to be recognised as a professional service provider of high quality, patient focused, palliative care.
You will be supporting the Marketing & Fundraising Manager in developing and implementation of the annual fundraising plan for Hospice Waikato, including event planning and implementation, email communications/soliciting donations and writing and coordinating four annual newsletter appeals (including layout and photography). You will also be overseeing the social media accounts and website content for the organisation.
A tertiary qualification in Marketing or Communications will be essential. Minimum 2 years working with both internal and external communications and the ability to manage social media accounts including Facebook for Business, Instagram and LinkedIn will be a definite advantage.
Core skills required will be excellent writing skills, strong IT skills and a basic understanding of HTML, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
