Office Administrator – 30 hours per week
30 hours per week
Are you looking for a part time role that ticks a lot of boxes? Does working for an organisation committed to a socially just and equitable Waikato resonate with you?
The DV Bryant Trust is one of the longest established philanthropic trusts in Waikato. Their Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) CBD based team is proud to work for an organisation with a huge heart for our communities. A newly created position has arisen to work with a small team on all things philanthropy and property in a role that is varied, fast paced and challenging.
The key areas of responsibility will include:
- Visitor and ‘front of house’ Manaakitanga
- Phone and email inquiries
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with tenants, community organisations and service providers
- General office administration and support
- Maintaining databases and documents
- Administration of grant applications
- Helping to maintain and develop trust databases, systems and processes
- Administration tasks related to building maintenance and access
At the heart of all you do is the desire to make a difference in the community and you will be working with others equally committed to that outcome. You will be comfortable working with diverse communities, feel at home with Te Ao Māori and have an empathy for people facing challenging circumstances. You will be confident communicating with trustees, professionals, and a wide range of other roles.
With an interest in the social and philanthropic sectors, you will be an experienced administrator who enjoys working across a broad range of activities and is open to system and process improvement. You will be comfortable with technology, be a great communicator, have a strong sense of Kotahitanga and be okay with your day looking nothing like you had planned!
Don’t be fooled by the job title – this may look like your average administration role, but the context of the role is anything but average! You will definitely go home with great work stories.
The trust welcomes – in fact encourages – candidates who can add diversity of experiences, backgrounds and outlooks to the existing team.
An attractive hourly rate will be offered to the successful candidate, along with a carpark. While there is some flexibility with how the hours are worked, the preference is for five days.
