Pipeline Divisional Manager
With a warm climate, a leading university and great schooling, Waikato offers it all! With a strong sense of community, thriving business and industrial sectors and great access to the west and east coasts, Auckland and Taupo, it provides a sought after and affordable lifestyle.
Connell is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary civil construction company. They operate across the North Island with their head office in the mighty Waikato and offices in Taranaki and Auckland. Their history spans 36 years, in an industry where they’ve been operating as market leaders in deep and large diameter pipeline installation, trenchless pipeline rehabilitation, shoring and dewatering, marine work and electrical and civil structures.
Due to a key senior staff member leaving at the end of 2021 after an impressive 18 years with the company, they are keen to secure a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead the pipelines division of their business, driving the business development and bidding functions. With significant opportunity in infrastructure over the coming years they are looking for an energetic professional who can naturally pursue business relationships for Connell, continuing growth in their existing markets but also being Connell’s eyes and ears on new opportunities.
You will hold relevant trade qualifications in drainage/pipelines and have broad estimating/bidding experience, however the strength in this role will be your ability to build upon your existing networks in the sector and to develop new connections that bring new opportunities to Connell. It may be that you currently participate on infrastructure boards/forums or that you are a known expert within the infrastructure sector.
At Connell, they don’t shy away from the tricky jobs and they aren’t afraid to invest where they need to, whether it be new technology or different methodologies. Accordingly, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Connell’s pipelines division.
This is an important executive role for Connell, and remuneration will reflect this key position.
