Our client is a specialised law firm that has been providing legal services to their clients for over 100 years. They offer expertise in the business, finance and corporate fields, and together with an experienced dispute resolution team, they provide comprehensive legal advice and solutions for clients. With offices in Hamilton, Tauranga and Auckland the team is driven, passionate and motivated to be the best in their field. This position is based in the Hamilton CBD, with some travel to Auckland and Tauranga required, and reports directly to the Managing Partner.
While extremely varied due to the nature of the position, your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing the finance functions
- Overseeing the IT systems and external IT support relationship
- HR including recruitment, payroll, performance management, resources, workflow and training
- Managing Board directed marketing initiatives
- Project management
To ensure success in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. Your ability to connect and engage with a wide audience will impress, as will your levels of resilience and tenacity. Advanced problem solving capability and proven strategic skills are essential, however a background in law is not. As there will be a good handover with the person leaving the position, our client is open to considering applications from candidates who have a strong Marketing or Business Development background but may require some upskilling in the Finance or HR areas.
