Centrally located in Hamilton’s CBD, our client is looking for a Procurement whizz to join their team on a 12 month contract.
In this role, you will provide expert advice and leadership to business units relating to categories of expenditure. Ensuring processes are followed by staff and providing assistance and coaching where required will be a key aspect of this role. You will make recommendations to management and staff on sometimes complex and unusual procurement issues, challenges and strategies. You will actively participate in continuous improvement of policies, standard procedures and systems. Strong negotiation skills will be key when it comes to dealing with contracts.
To be successful in this role you must have at least 3 years’ experience in a procurement role, paired with excellent communication skills.
