About the Role
As Production Manager, you will take ownership of a division focused on the design and build of specialised transport units. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, manage workflow, and ensure production excellence from concept through to completion. Your leadership will set the tone for performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled team of tradespeople
- Recruit high-performing staff to support growth and capability
- Drive daily production operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers across the wider organisation
- Champion innovation—identify opportunities to improve processes, technology, and output
- Maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical and people leadership strengths. You will ideally have:
- A mechanical trade background or similar technical qualification
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environment
- Strong communication, coaching, and team-building skills
- A proactive approach to solving problems and improving systems
- A passion for delivering high-quality, bespoke engineering solutions
