Our client is an innovator and producer of premium products for the global and domestic markets. Their small, dynamic team operates from a facility in TeRapa. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this position has overall responsibility for the development, facilitation and maintenance of quality management systems and procedures. In addition you will manage the grading and release of all products balancing regulatory requirements and customer’s expectations. Responsibilities will be broad and will include:
- Overseeing the risk management plan
- Managing the audit processes
- Ensuring compliance with product safety and export requirements
- Recruiting, training and motivating quality team members
- Document creation and management
- Investigations and process improvement
With a strategic and operational focus on compliance and quality, you will demonstrate quality/food safety system implementation and maintenance experience, along with a tertiary qualification in food/dairy science. Your decision making and problem solving skills will impress, as will your ability to add value to a fast paced and high performing team. Essential also is a high level of initiative, strong negotiation skills and well developed leadership capability.
