Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking to recruit either an intermediate or senior Quantity Surveyor to effectively measure, price, procure and administer construction projects.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Attend and administer handover and prestart meetings
  • Invoice and send invoices to client
  • Confirm long lead items, ordering in time to meet with the construction programs
  • Prepare and send Purchase Orders
  • Review tender packages
  • Set up tender evaluation sheets
  • Confirm material quantities
  • Source competitive material prices and subcontract quotations
  • Manage monthly claims
  • Manage job specific weekly labor tracking
  • Assist with project closeout tasks
  • Complete and agree Client Final Account for payment

Essential for this role will be a Quantity Surveying Certificate/National Diploma in Construction – Quantity Surveying – at least 3 years’ experience and a full driver’s license.

You must be technically strong with core QS skills and emphasis on measuring, contract administration and estimating. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with being a team player with the ability to plan, manage and co-ordinate personal workflows and loads.
