A newly created opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include assisting with all accounting functions including:
- Daily transaction reconciliations
- Monthly and annual accounts
- Annual budgets and forecasting
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations
- GST, FBT and PAYE returns
- Managing the financial transactions for two partnership entities
- Processing payroll
- Annual audit process
- General administration
The person we seek will offer 2-3 years of accounting and business administration experience, strong analytical skills and a lateral approach to problem solving. Well-developed computer knowledge is essential and exposure to Xero, MYOB EXO Payroll and MS Office will be an advantage. Your sense of humour and commitment to contributing broadly to this motivated team will be impressive. You will be required to work some weekend race days, therefore flexibility is required.
