Leadership Opportunity

As the Financial Accountant in this large, fast paced organisation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high quality and efficient financial management and advice.  With a team of up to five direct reports, you’ll coach and mentor your own team, and other non-financial people within the organisation.  The industry is complex, and provides ongoing challenges for a proactive and forward-thinking finance team.

We are ideally seeking interest from people with the following experience and attributes:

• Strong financial accounting experience (IFRS)
• Knowledge of payroll legislation
• CA qualification
• Proven leadership with a focus on culture and performance
• High level problem solving capability
• Interpersonal skills that impress
• The ability to engage effectively with non-financial employees
• Project and/or business transformation experience
• A passion for continuous improvement and positive change

Your key responsibilities will be varied, but focused primarily on the areas of:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of high performing individuals
• Financial management including reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Preparing annual statements
• Leading and/or participating in process/system transformation
• Overseeing the payroll function
• Reviewing work completed by your team
• Ensuring alignment with the organisation’s purpose and vision

You may be ready for your next leadership role, or you may have informally been leading a team, and are ready to step up to a formal leadership position.  If you are a natural leader, who isn’t afraid of challenging the status quo in a way that takes people on a journey, then this role is well worth considering.
